Investigation report #7

Place: chapel in the Ebersberger Forst, Schwabinger Street between

Forstinning and Ebersberg, Bavaria, Germany

Date: 5th of Juli 2008

Time: 9.30 p.m.

Duration: 2 hrs 45 mins

Investigators:

Ian Wilce (Team Leader & Investigator)

Hella Norenz (Case Manager & Investigator)

Zlatko Kadrijevic (Tech Manager & Investigator)

Ace (Zlatkoīs dog)

Additional participants:

Camerateam under the lead of Ralf Bartels (Production Manager from Joker Productions)

History:

There are noumerous reports of a white lady been seen next to the chapel in the Ebersberger Forst. Recording to the ledgend, she is supposed to be the soul of a woman who rode on her bike along the Schwabener Street and got knocked over by a car right next to the chapel. The driver of the car left the place of the accident and left the dying woman behind. Now she is reported to be seen at the side of the road, on the path next to the chapel, that leads into the forest and on the back seats of cars driving by.Supposedly she is now looking for the driver of the car, who did the hit and run.

In the chapel omnious flickering lights have been seen.

There are also numerous reports about floating coloured lights, being seen on the path next to the chapel, that leads into the forest. An eye witness reports, that he was taking his dog for a walk along that path. It was already dark, so he was able to make out floating lights in the distance. All of a sudden the dog started barking wildly. The man was terrified about those circumstances and went back to his car. He never since went there again.

There are also reports about the kelts, who used to be settled in this area. It seems to be that the figure of the white lady was already known at those times. She was supposed to be the one who lead the souls of the recently died tribe members into the land of the dead. In the Ebersberger forst ketic burial grounds were found and thereīs this other variation of the story of the white lady, that she is angry now, that the dead were disturbed (by traffic and careless wanderers).

Investigation plan:

After doing the basic readings in and around the chapel, we were planning to follow the path into the woods to find out about the floating lights. We wanted to take Ace with us, to watch his reactions, the lights would be sighted. We also wanted to see his reaction in and around the chapel. After doing the path, we planned to do some EVP work in the chapel.

Investigation:

We reached the chapel at about 9.30 p.m. The camera team filmed us while we were getting out our equipment. From now on they would follow us around the whole location, filming about any kind of action we would do. We were looking around in the chapel and the area around it. The first thing that was obvious to see was, that the road next to the chapel was full of traffic.

Zlatko got the dog out of the car and took him over to the chapel to let him sniff around, we were curious how he would react and if he might detect something, but Ace behaved absolutely normal and relaxed.

We started with the base readings in and around the chapel.

EMF readings:

Inside: 0,1 mG

Outside left: 0,1 mG

Outside right: 0,8 mg

Behind the chapel: 0,8 mG

TV camera: 0,8 mG

Temperature readings:

Inside: 17 °C

Inside wall: 17 °C

Arcade in front of the altar: 19 °C

Outside right: 15 °C outside right 15°C

Behind chapel: 15°C

Whilst we were doing the messurements we had two strange readings. One we were able to solve immediatley, we read 1,2 mG when the camera man squeezed himself into the tiny arcade with us. Ian scanned his camera and there we had the malefactor.

The other strange reading we couldnīt solve, the camera man was already back at the car when Ian read 1,3 mG instead of the expected 0,8 mG, while he was leaving the chapel through the left archway.

After the base readings we made our way along the path into the woods to find out about the light phenomenas. We were hoping, that the traffic on the road would calm down, while we were in the forest, so we could do some EVPīs in the chapel later.

Zlatko got Ace out of the car again, who seemed to be really please to go for a night walk through a forest. As soon as we had entered the forest, we saw the floating lights. Being fascinnated we started to walk towards them. Now and then we saw som glow worms floating throughj the nicht with their tiny green “back lights” on. The noise from the traffic was barely to hear any more, being muffled by the vegetation around us. We could still see the floating lights in the distance, blinking on and off. Ace didnīt seem to be impressed by them at all and was more interested from the fascinating smells coming from the woods. The whole night he didnīt bark once.

The closer we got to the lights, the clearer it was, what they were. They were the lights of the cars driving on the road that lead from Forstinning to Hohenlinden. Being broken by the trees they looked as if they were floating uncontrolled above the path. We also found a tiny reflecting sticker on a tree trunk right above head height, that glowed like a tiny lamp as soom as the light of our torches reached it. So this was solved easily.

But there was still the phenomena of the white lady to be solved.

Meanwhile the temperature had dropped down to 10 °C. Due to the thick undergrowth and the trees standing close next to each other, there was a high humidity, that we could actually feel on our skin and the dampness of our clothes. Under the trees there was also a bit of mist low to the ground, which we could actually see, when we went back to the chapel, being lit by the cars driving by. We took several photos, which are a great example, how humidity in the air turns out on a picture.

EVPīs:

Ian conducted two EVPīs in the chapel. On one, we are sure to hear a female voice, but we cannot figure out, what it says. I was the only female person there at that time, but while Ian did the first EVP i was at the car, getting the Gauss meter, so it cannot be me.

EVP 1 exerpt not amplified

The second EVP shows no results.

Because ofe some teenagers turning up on the scene, we had to finish our investigation. They were attracted by the story of the white lady and wanted to find out about it themselves.

Conclusion:

We couldnīt debunk the ledgend of the white lady, although we are sure that most of the sightings can be explained by the fact, that the lights of a car are reflected by the trees. If or not combined with some mist, which is not visible with the bare eye, those facts can trick the brain, cusing the illusion of a misty person standing at the side of the road. The sightings on the back seats of the cars we still cannot explain.

The flickering lights being seen in the chapel are caused by the number of candles, that are placed in the altar room and the side windows.

The floating coloured ligts are causedby cars, that drive by on the M12. Their lights (front and back lights) are broken through the trees, so they really look as if they are floating free above the path. Even glow worms we donīt exclude.

This evidence combined with a dog, that barks wildly at some animal hidden in the undergrowth can be really scary and eerie.

We would like to investigate the chapel again, at a night during the week, at a later time, when we can be sure, that there wonīt be as much traffic on the road and that teenagers will lie in their beds, fast asleep.

Nice report, such a shame about the traffic.

Yes you are right about the traffic , but we will return to the forest and do some further EVPīs when the traffic is quieter , which will probably be a work day .
