Hi All

Yes it was the big night for Team GPS yesterday.I like all or most of the team watched it.

I thought that the team did very well despite the pressure of knowing that it was LIVE on tv being watched by millions and not knowing the location anything that was associated with it.

I have read all the negative facebook messages and unfortunately could not reply to any as PARANORMAL LIVE facebook have possibly restricted me posting maybe due to the numerous outburst i have had with Jon DEMEROS.My theory anyway.

My own opinion that they did exceptionally well last night and what matters is they gave there all to it and that they haven't faked anything or screamed.Unlike Most Haunted.

Well done guys.

The second night should be interesting

I agree with all the comments so far. GO TEAM GPS.

I too saw the facebook comments and declined to comment because if I did I'd still be on their now and would have gotten us nowhere lol.

Lets also face facts that the public are entitled to their own opinions and don't know the team like we do. I feel that for both teams they have been placed into an awkward situation and one in which I would not want to be to be perfectly honest. we all know that this is not a true investigation. on a true investigation who would put one of the newest members of the team in the position of a full night vigil in a massive castle and especially not tell them that there is someone else in the castle. Have they got the producer in from BigBrother or something lol.

and despite all the negative comments - these people watched the show from start to end .

KEEP AT IT GPS - WE"RE STRONGER THAN EVER party party

I liked the first night, albiet it was slow but it represented a true investigation. I totally understand that both teams were under pressure, being live TV. GPS were better on the 2nd night (lack on nerves i reckon), IMPACT, not impressed at all. Whether livingtv had told them to act out, who knows but the 2nd night seemed too contriversial in some aspects (IMPACT not GPS).

I would have liked to see GPS using more gear and so forth but that's my own opinion.

Poor production planning seems to be the major issue with viewers, not the teams themselves. You can only do as good as the organ grinder allows you to do.

The Ovilus caught my eye on the 2nd night but can you rule out any techie issues? The one thing that really did get my attention, was that castle alarm! On the first night, the Ovilus made me giggle, it kept saying d*ck Embarassed Laughing and the I was an aye, I reckon. However, it's TV and the team will have to take the good with the bad, you just got to decide what to ignore, take onboard and use.

They are brave to go on live TV, in the first place! Good luck to you guys for the future, a good team will take onboard what happened, work out the issues and can only get better, which GPS will do!

TV can't do proper research into the paranormal. It can portray it as fiction - as it has effectively done in the past with 'The Stone tape' and 'Ghostwatch'. TV can only entertain, it's really that simple.
Most Haunted started with good intentions but quickly devolved to a Pantomime of fakery and ham reactions.
I think team GPS did their best and it was a good effort from what I've now seen.

Hi All

I would agree with you on some points , yes allot of programs are made for entertainment ,i think that it is very difficult to produce a program that would portray paranormal investigating as it really is , probably not on mainstream TV anyway as i would be considered boring ,a channel would think twice about puting a program on TV that risks being canned due to poor ratings they are in it to make money, as i have mentioned before the general public have been given the wrong impression of what we really do , they seem to think that its three hours of nostril shots, screaming and running for it , well that is so wrong lol.

And there are allot of groups that have given this field of work a bad name by always making the same old mistakes and then they wonder why they are not taken seriously i have seen allot of sites that are riddled with pictures of so called orbs and ectoplasm that can clearly be debunked .

I think that the only way is that someone actually captures something on video , but with the technology that we have now it is also easy to fake things like that , so we are treading on thin ice as it is .

I think there are a number of ways we can get half decent evidence or even valid evidence that is acceptable as a starting point to the scientific community. I certainly agree that video and photographic evidence posted by
individuals or groups (however professional they appear) is always and quite rightly going to be open to accusation of manipulation, subjective interpretation and various logical fallacies. I've worked in film and photography for a very long time and have seen the
ease of fakery that digital capture and manipulation allows those with a basic home computer.

I'd suggest a proper scientific approach to all investigations by those groups with the commitment, ability and foresight to do so - this isn't easy or has any kind of quick answers. There are a lot of fails and very very few
successes because proper investigations often discredit the paranormal.

For anyone wanting further advice on what I've suggested above; http://www.radfordbooks.com/SPI.php

Ben Radford is a professional paranormal investigator who has worked in TV, investigated many cases and is a well known and respected author, having written several books on the subject.
